Operations Engineer
Plum is seeking a systems administrator to help scale our service and keep it running super smoothly.

Responsibilities:- Design and implementation of our server architecture for our high-traffic web sites and associated systems.
- Build and deploy applications to our production environment.
- Manage our source code repository.
- Perform systems installations, systems upgrades.
- Network, firewall, and security management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software related problems on web, database and file servers.
- Monitor system stability and performance.
- Ensure 24x7 operation.
- Rapidly scale systems to meet demand.
- Help develop tools to streamline and eliminate friction from our operations processes.
- Experience with Linux (Fedora) and MacOS system administration.
- Proven ability to manage production systems for large-scale consumer web applications.
- Experience running applications in colocated, hosting provider and cloud computing environments
- Experience with: shell scripting; Ant; system monitoring applications; MySQL; Apache http; tomcat; jetty; NFS; Subversion; sendmail (and other mail systems); software and hardware load balancers; firewall configuration; DNS.
- Extra points for working knowledge of Amazon S3, EC2, CDNs, and Akamai Site Accelerator.
- Must be detail oriented, an organized thinker, and able to act decisively under stressful conditions.
